General Terms & Conditions
These Terms & Conditions apply to all activities organised by Wild Earth AB - including those marketed under The Green Trails and True Nature Sweden
By booking or participating in an activity, you agree to the following terms.
1. Booking & Payment
1.1 A booking is confirmed upon full payment.
1.2 No deposit system is used. Full payment is required at the time of booking.
1.3 All prices are stated and charged in Swedish Kronor (SEK).
1.4 A booking is only valid once payment has been successfully received and a written confirmation has been issued.
1.5 It is the participant’s responsibility to provide correct contact details, including phone number with country code and valid email address. Wild Earth AB is not responsible for missed communications due to incorrect or incomplete information.
2. Cancellation by Participant
2.1 Day Tours (Non-Overnight Activities)
Free cancellation up to 18 hours before departure.
Cancellation less than 18 hours before departure: no refund.
The 18-hour deadline is calculated according to the scheduled local Swedish departure time.
If the participant has purchased cancellation insurance at the time of booking, the insurance terms apply. In such cases, cancellation may be allowed according to the conditions of the purchased insurance.
2.2 Overnight & Multi-Day Tours
Free cancellation up to 7 days before departure.
Cancellation less than 7 days before departure: no refund.
Due to logistical planning, guide allocation, food preparation and limited group sizes, cancellations within 7 days cannot be refunded.
2.3 Private Tours & Custom Bookings
Free cancellation up to 7 days before departure.
Cancellation less than 7 days before departure: no refund.
Private bookings reserve exclusive guide time and resources and are therefore subject to stricter cancellation conditions.
2.4 Booking Transfer (Name Change)
Participants may transfer their booking to another person free of charge up to 24 hours before departure, provided:
The replacement participant meets all participation requirements.
Wild Earth AB is notified in writing.
3. Cancellation or Modification by Wild Earth AB
Wild Earth AB reserves the right to cancel or modify an activity due to:
Unsafe weather or environmental conditions
Insufficient number of participants
Force majeure events
Circumstances beyond reasonable operational control
Participants will be offered:
An alternative activity or rescheduled date, or
A credit voucher for future booking.
If no reasonable alternative can be offered, Wild Earth AB may provide a refund of the amount paid.
No additional compensation beyond the tour price will be provided.
Safety and operational decisions are made at the sole discretion of Wild Earth AB.
4. Minimum Participant Requirement
Certain activities require a minimum number of participants. The specific minimum number is stated on the individual activity page at the time of booking.
Wild Earth AB reserves the right to operate certain tours with fewer participants at its discretion.
If the required minimum number is not met, participants will be informed as early as reasonably possible and offered:
An alternative date,
An alternative activity, or
A credit voucher or refund.
5. Participant Responsibility & Fitness
5.1 Participants are responsible for ensuring they are physically and mentally fit for the activity booked.
5.2 Any relevant medical condition, allergy, injury, pregnancy or other limitation must be communicated prior to departure.
5.3 Wild Earth AB reserves the right to deny participation if a participant’s condition poses a safety risk.
No refund will be provided if the relevant information was withheld.
6. Assumption of Risk
Outdoor activities involve inherent risks, including but not limited to:
Uneven terrain
Wildlife encounters
Weather exposure
Ice and water conditions
Physical exertion
Use of equipment
By participating, you acknowledge and accept these inherent risks.
Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for gross negligence, wilful misconduct, or liability that cannot legally be excluded under Swedish law.
7. Equipment Responsibility
Participants are responsible for any loss or damage to borrowed or rented equipment beyond normal wear and tear.
By renting equipment from Wild Earth AB (operating under The Green Trails and True Nature Sweden), the participant accepts full responsibility for the equipment during the rental period.
The renter is liable for any damage, theft or loss of rented equipment occurring during the rental period. Lost or damaged items will be charged at the full replacement cost corresponding to the retail price of a new item, regardless of the age or prior condition of the equipment.
Equipment is replaced rather than repaired when calculating replacement cost.
All rented equipment must be returned at the agreed time and location. In case of late return, an extra full day rental per renting participant and per calendar day may be charged until the equipment is returned.
Participants are responsible for using rented equipment safely and according to provided instructions.
Wild Earth AB does not accept liability for injuries, accidents or damages resulting from the use of rented equipment.
8. Participant Conduct
Participants must:
Follow guide instructions at all times
Respect nature, wildlife and other participants
Behave responsibly and safely
Wild Earth AB reserves the right to remove any participant whose behaviour compromises safety or group experience.
No refund will be provided in such cases.
9. Punctuality
Participants must arrive at the designated meeting point on time.
In order to provide the best experience for all participants and ensure safety and schedule integrity, activities will depart at the stated meeting time. We are unable to delay departure for late arrivals.
Participants are encouraged to arrive at least 10 minutes before departure time.
Late arrival or no-show is treated as cancellation without refund.
10. Weather, Environmental & External Conditions
Outdoor activities depend on natural and external conditions beyond our control. These conditions may change rapidly and without warning.
Wild Earth AB does not guarantee specific natural or situational conditions, including but not limited to:
Ice formation suitable for skating
Wildlife sightings
Snow coverage suitable for skiing
Stable water, trail or terrain conditions
Specific weather conditions on the day of the activity
Exact scenery, visibility or environmental appearance as shown in marketing images
Absence of other visitors or public presence
Access limitations due to public events, governmental restrictions or military activity
Ice conditions in particular may change significantly from one day to another and can become unsafe without warning.
If conditions are deemed unsafe or unsuitable, Wild Earth AB reserves the right to modify the activity for safety or operational reasons.
This may include offering an alternative activity such as cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, hiking, kayaking, or another suitable outdoor experience depending on conditions.
11. Force Majeure
Wild Earth AB is not liable for cancellations or modifications caused by events beyond reasonable control, including but not limited to:
Natural disasters
Severe weather
Government actions
Military activity
Strikes
Transportation disruptions
In the event of force majeure, participants will be offered:
Rescheduling to an alternative date, or
A credit voucher valid for future booking.
If rescheduling is not reasonably possible, Wild Earth AB may, at its discretion, offer a refund of the amount paid.
No additional compensation shall be provided.
12. Insurance
Participants are strongly advised to have valid travel insurance covering:
Personal injury
Cancellation
Medical treatment
Personal belongings
Wild Earth AB does not provide personal travel insurance.
13. Photography & Media
Wild Earth AB may take photographs or video during activities for marketing purposes.
Participants who do not wish to appear in such material must inform Wild Earth AB in writing before the activity.
14. Data Protection
Personal data is processed in accordance with applicable Swedish and EU data protection legislation (GDPR).
Data is used solely for booking administration and operational communication.
15. Governing Law & Disputes
These Terms & Conditions are governed by Swedish law.
Any dispute, claim, or legal proceeding arising from or related to these Terms or to activities organized by Wild Earth AB shall be governed by Swedish law and shall be resolved exclusively by the competent courts of Sweden.
16. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted under Swedish law:
Wild Earth AB shall not be liable for indirect or consequential losses, including but not limited to loss of income, loss of enjoyment, travel disruption, or additional personal expenses.
Wild Earth AB’s total liability arising from any claim related to an activity shall be limited to the total amount paid for the activity.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for gross negligence, wilful misconduct, or liability that cannot legally be excluded under Swedish law.
