Survival & BUSHCRAFT course near Stockholm
This 2-day bushcraft and survival course is designed to give you practical skills, confidence and a solid understanding of how to live and function safely in the wild. The course takes place entirely in the forest, where everything is learned and practised directly in real wilderness conditions.
Bushcraft is about competence, preparation and decisive decision-making. Over two full days, you learn how to work with nature using simple tools, natural resources and proven techniques. Theory is always followed by practice, so you understand not only how things are done, but why.
The course is suitable for beginners as well as for participants with previous outdoor experience who want to strengthen their bushcraft and survival skills. Everyone progresses, regardless of starting level.
Professional Instruction, Field-Tested Experience
The course is led by professional survival and bushcraft instructors with long-term experience in wilderness instruction and outdoor guiding. All instructors regularly work in natural environments and are used to teaching practical skills in real conditions.
Instruction is hands-on and structured. The focus is on correct technique, priorities and practical judgment — understanding what to do, when to do it, and what the consequences of each choice are in the wild. Teaching is adapted to the group, allowing each participant to progress at their own pace while working with the same core skills.
The course content is built on more than 20 years of survival and bushcraft experience, developed through long expeditions, wilderness travel and professional outdoor work.
The founder of True Nature Sweden spent five consecutive years travelling full-time, crossing jungles, mountain ranges, forests and remote regions across multiple continents — choosing wild terrain over comfort and harsh environments over convenience. That experience shaped the philosophy behind these courses: practical, honest and grounded in reality.
This knowledge has been condensed into survival and bushcraft courses ranging from 2 to 14 days, adapted specifically to Nordic environments.
What You Will Learn
This 2-day bushcraft and wilderness survival course provides a strong practical foundation, focused on essential priorities and hands-on skills practiced directly in the forest.
You work with all core survival skills: bushcraft fundamentals and mindset, survival priorities, and learning how to assess situations and act accordingly. Firecraft is introduced from the ground up — lighting, building and maintaining fire using natural materials — followed by shelter building with forest resources, water sourcing and purification, and the basics of food in the wild.
Plant knowledge is covered through direct observation, including edible, toxic and medicinal species. You also work with wildlife awareness and basic tracking, navigation and orientation, camp organisation, and group functioning in survival situations.
All skills are taught outdoors, in real conditions, with theory immediately followed by practice.
Life in Camp – Food, Fire and Daily Practice
You live outdoors for the entire duration of the course. Camp is built together and evolves over the two days as skills improve and understanding deepens.
Meals are prepared over open fire using fresh products, with a clear focus on practical outdoor cooking. Fire is central to daily life: used for cooking, water, warmth and light. You learn how to manage fire efficiently, control heat and cook real meals in the forest.
Days move between instruction, practice, repetition and reflection. There is time to ask questions, make mistakes, correct them and build confidence through doing rather than watching.
