UPCOMING COURSES

Survival & BUSHCRAFT course IN SWEDEN

Learn real survival and bushcraft skills where they belong — outdoors, in the forest. Our bushcraft and survival courses near Stockholm are designed for people who want practical knowledge, confidence and real competence in the wild.

All our courses are built on the same core program: fire, shelter, water, food, navigation, fauna and flora awareness and camp life. These skills are practised directly in Swedish wilderness conditions.

What changes with course length is depth and independence.

The 2-day course focuses on preparation, comfort and confidence-building — a solid foundation for hiking and outdoor life.

The 5-day course moves further into immersion and self-reliance, where you build and rely on your own systems in the forest.

The 14-day course challenges both skill and psychology, including a solo survival phase in real wilderness conditions.

All courses take place 100% outdoors, with no classroom teaching. Theory is always followed immediately by practice.

This is a full survival–bushcraft course with a high learning tempo and strong focus on hands-on experience. Over five days, learning moves quickly from instruction to application. You build, adapt and rely on your own systems: shelter, fire, water, food and camp organisation.

Professional Instruction | Field-Tested Experience

The course is led by professional survival and bushcraft instructors with long-term experience in wilderness instruction and outdoor guiding. Instruction is practical, direct and grounded in real conditions.

Teaching focuses on priorities and practical judgment — understanding what matters first, how to adapt to terrain and weather, and how small decisions affect comfort and efficiency over time. The pace is demanding, but progression is structured and adapted to the group.

The course content is built on more than 20 years of survival and bushcraft experience, developed through expeditions, wilderness travel and professional outdoor work, and adapted specifically to Nordic environments.

What You Will Learn

This 5-day bushcraft and wilderness survival course covers all core survival skills in depth, with enough time to combine them into functioning systems.

You work with the three survival fundamentals and learn to prioritise basic needs in different situations. Firecraft is practised daily using multiple techniques for ignition, heat control and long-term fire management.

Shelter building goes beyond temporary structures. You build and sleep in shelters made entirely from natural materials, learning how placement, structure and protection from weather influence comfort and efficiency. Over several nights, shelters are adjusted and improved as conditions change.

Food skills are explored in depth. You forage, identify edible, toxic and medicinal plants and mushrooms, and learn safe preparation techniques. Fishing without a rod and night-line concepts are introduced. Trapping systems are practised without killing, focusing on understanding animal behaviour and movement patterns.

Water sourcing and purification become part of the daily routine. You move through the forest with awareness, practising tracking, silent movement and reading signs of wildlife.

You also work with rope-making from natural materials, camp organisation and efficiency, navigation through map reading and natural signs, and terrain movement, such as river crossings. Basic wilderness first aid is introduced, along with group survival dynamics and leadership over extended periods outdoors.

All learning happens outside. Theory is immediately followed by practice and repetition.

Life in Camp – Living From Your Skills

You live outdoors for the full five days. Camp is built, adjusted and maintained as part of the learning process.

You sleep in the shelters you build.
You manage your fire every day.
You cook your meals over an open fire using fresh products.

Fire, food, water and shelter are not exercises — they are daily systems.

The extended duration allows mistakes to surface and be corrected. You experience directly how decisions made on one day affect comfort and efficiency on the next. Skills are tested through use, not demonstration.

Frequently Asked Questions

5-Day Bushcraft & Survival Course Near Stockholm

Do I need previous survival experience to join the 5-day course?

No prior survival course is required. However, this 5-day bushcraft and survival course is more immersive and demands greater engagement than the 2-day course. Motivation and willingness to participate fully are important.

How is the 5-day course different from the 2-day course?

The core skills are the same — fire, shelter, water, food and navigation — but the depth and application are significantly greater. Over five days, you live from the systems you build. Skills are repeated, refined and applied daily, allowing them to become instinctive rather than theoretical.

Where do we sleep during the 5-day course?

Participants build and sleep in shelters constructed from natural materials. Over several days, shelters are improved and adapted to weather conditions. A tent remains available as a backup option, but the goal is to experience self-built shelter living.

Is the 5-day course physically demanding?

The course requires normal physical condition and the ability to spend extended time outdoors. Activities include shelter building, firewood preparation, navigation and camp work. It is more demanding than the 2-day course but not designed as an endurance challenge.

What happens if it rains?

Training continues in realistic weather conditions. Rain becomes part of the learning process — especially regarding shelter design, camp organisation and fire management. Safety remains a priority, and instruction adapts to weather conditions.

Will we hunt or kill animals?

No. While trapping systems and food acquisition strategies are practised, no animals are killed during the course. The focus is on understanding principles and techniques.

What equipment do I need?

A detailed packing list is provided before the course. Participants bring personal gear and appropriate clothing. Optional rental of backpack and basic equipment is available. Natural materials are used for shelter construction.

Is this course suitable if I just want a relaxing outdoor retreat?

No. The 5-day bushcraft and survival course is designed for participants who want active learning and immersion in wilderness living. If you are looking for a softer introduction, the 2-day course may be more appropriate.
